Is it the term we use to define what we are asked to do or what we are supposed to do?
Everyone may do what they are asked to do but as a leader your duty isn’t only to do what you are asked to do but even more importantly, to do what you are supposed to do.
The difference between the two is, you respond in one instance but in the other, you initiate.
When there is no rule book on how to get something done, it is your duty to find the right path, clear the tracks, walk the trail, employ your strategies and create the desired result.
Your true duty as a leader may not always be delegated to you or solicited, it is however always required.
Do it (du-it, it’s duty).
